Dr. Sebastian Deme

Dr. Sebastian completed his training in Plastic Surgery and Reconstructive Microsurgery and came across hair restoration procedures during his years as a resident surgeon. Having performed hair restoration procedures for a vast range of hair loss conditions, including typical pattern baldness, post-burn scars, scar contracture cases, staged hair transplant procedures for high Norwood cases, including scar revision and hair transplant repair cases, Dr Sebastian has seen and performed it all over his extensive career. 

Dr. Sebastian appeared twice in a Channel 4 documentary series in 2014, where he performed an FUE beard transplant procedure for a young man who could not grow much facial hair. He then later performed a large FUT hair transplant on the show for a young lady who was suffering with traction alopecia.

With an innate eye for detail, Dr. Sebastian specialises in soft hairlines, using sporadic placement of finer calibre hairs to create undetectable, natural results. Dr. Sebastian recently touched on the importance of this in The Mail on Sunday. 

Dr. Sebastian practises at our Harley Street Hair Transplant Clinic in London, and has worked in Plastic Surgery for the NHS.

Dr. Sebastian’s interests include: hair restoration surgery, facial aesthetic procedures, both surgical and non-surgical, skin rejuvenation, aesthetic surgery, and general plastic surgery.

Dr. Sebastian recently appeared in The Telegraph discussing how hair loss and mental health are often linked. Dr. Sebastian discussed his ethos behind a more conservative approach to hair restorative surgery, whilst future proofing patients should you need a further hair transplant later down the line. 

Dr. Sebastian keeps himself up to date with medical training and certification in First Aid/CPR, Health & Safety, Anaphylaxis for Healthcare, Infection Control, Leadership & Management, Moving & Handling, COSHH, Fire Safety and Safeguarding Adults.

In addition to his hair transplant interests and surgical procedures, he is also using Platelet Rich Plasma therapy (PRP) to help combat hair loss.
